KIDTOON FILMS AND THE NETSMARTZ WORKSHOP LAUNCH
NATIONAL CHILDREN'S INTERNET SAFETY INITIATIVE

Theatrical Messages To Educate Kids and Parents
About Potential Dangers In Cyberspace

LOS ANGELES (April 4, 2006) In an effort to educate children and parents about Internet safety, Kidtoon Films, Inc. and The NetSmartz Workshop will launch an educational campaign in theatres nationwide. The campaign was announced by Michele Martell, Chief Operating Officer for Kidtoon Films.

Beginning in April, 2006, Kidtoon Films will exhibit the NetSmartz-produced Internet safety cartoons during its theatrical weekend matinee program. Kidtoon Films brings G-rated movies to theatres during weekend matinees, with a new movie playing each month, enabling kids and families to enjoy new and classic movies together on the big screen. The company&Mac226;s theatrical markets include Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C, Denver, Kansas City, Detroit, Boston, Providence, Cincinnati, Memphis, Philadelphia, San Diego, and Tulsa, among several others.

The program will debut with "Tell A Trusted Adult," an upbeat music video featuring the animated NetSmartz spokesrobot "Clicky." "Tell A Trusted Adult" educates children about one of the basic rules of Internet safety: tell an adult you trust if anything makes you feel scared, uncomfortable or confused. "Tell A Trusted Adult" will run in front of the Kidtoon Films feature movie for April, "Pinocchio 3000."

"The Kidtoon Films matinees are a wonderful way for kids and parents to enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment that includes an upbeat, age-appropriate message about the serious subject of Internet safety," said Martell. "We were impressed by how well the NetSmartz cartoons deliver that message in a fun way that connects with the kids in the audience, and enables parents to start a dialog about it. The hope is that by reaching children at a young age, Internet safety will hopefully be second nature by the time they&Mac226;re teenagers."

Although the Internet provides a high-tech means to educate and entertain, the growing popularity of instant messaging, web cams, web logs and other tools can increase the likelihood that children can be exposed to inappropriate material, language and solicitations. A study by National Center for Missing & Exploited (NCMEC) Children states that 1 in 4 children are exposed to inappropriate material while accessing the Internet.

"We are excited that KidToon Films is bringing important Internet safety messages to families," said Rick Minicucci, President of The NetSmartz Workshop. "NetSmartz aims to prevent online victimization and to empower children to make responsible decisions while on the Internet. The animated pieces reinforce safety messages through music and interactive activities."

Based in Alexandria, Virginia, the NetSmartz Workshop is a division of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and was created in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). NetSmartz is designed to enhance the ability of children to recognize dangers on the Internet while increasing communication between adults and children about online safety. Additional music videos and activities are available at www.NetSmartz.org.
