The Lion King: 2-disc Special Edition -- G

Prior to Finding Nemo, this was the best selling animated feature of all time. This 2 disc special edition shows why. The special features are a new song, seamlessly inserted into the movie, several games, including a virtual safari, music videos and the words to all of the songs in the movie. Disney has really outdone themselves this time. If only all DVD's had this much! Although the movie has an appropriate G rating, the death of a parent (as in most Disney animated movies) occurs, that could frighten small children. Otherwise, the movie is for all ages.


Lion King 1 1/2 -- G

An original story about how Timon and Pumbaa met against the background of the original Lion King. The best thing about this DVD was the fact that all of the original voices returned. Even the minor characters of the first movie. The extra features are worth the purchase price alone. Great family film.
